We wanted to create something different and memorable, with a pure authentic vibe. An educational masterpiece with paradise backgrounds and authentic meetings with locals. Dominican Republic has so much to see, to experience, and these are our favorite things to show off. Our trip is built around the key moments, the right spots at the right time with the right people. Join us only if you are ready to have the time of your life.

PROGRAM

Let us show you our personal favorite spots and authentic experiences. We have been local guides for the past few years and want to offer you the same attention as a smaller group, adding more people to make it more affordable for a larger audience.

SANTO DOMINGO

Our first stop is the capital, the first city in the Americas. We’ll be staying 4 nights in the beautiful Zona Colonial, the old town. Here we’ll combine sightseeing and culture with authentic experiences and dancing. Dance workshops with Los Bonitillos, Rafael and Yenny Ventura, learn how to play Güira and Bongo with Wilson, music history with Andy Santiago and a live concert with “El Zorro Negro” Franklin Medina.

LAS TERRENAS

Our second location is the old fisherman village on the north east side of the island. Here you’ll find postcard worthy virgin beaches, but don’t get distracted, there are plenty of authentic experiences in the area if you know where to look. We spend 4 nights in this paradise. Dance workshops with El Negro Dulce, Audy La Pantera and Los Mellos.

Learning as an experience

Our workshops are planned as a journey through the island, introducing you to the different styles you’ll be encountering when social dancing. Preparing you to make the best out of your dancing experience.

You get 10 hours of dance workshops and 2 hours of musicality with amazing Dominican artists.

Your home away from home

Grand Hotel Europa in la Zona Colonial is a charming hotel mixing modern features with an older colonial style. Their rooftop has held Bachata classes and events for the past decade, an icon within Bachata traveling. You share outside rooms with separate beds unless you ask for a double.

Hotel Alisei is a cozy beach hotel in Las Terrenas, located within walking distance to the village center with a vivid nightlife. Here you share apartments with two bedrooms and you have a full functional kitchen. Just remember to leave it the way you found it.

STEP BY STEP

HOW TO SIGN UP

Pay your tour in 2 steps. First pay the reservation fee of 300€ that is included in the total price shown bellow. It should be paid before below mentioned dates to secure your final price. Note that the registration fee is not refundable but can be transfered to another person that has not yet bought his or her registration fee for the same event.

Then pay the remaining amount, your Tour Fee, before July 1st 2024. The Tour Fee is 90% refundable for cancelations before July 1st 2024 (covering transaction & conversion costs). It’s then 50% refundable until October 1st of 2024 and not refundable after that same date. However the Tour Fee can always be transfered to another person, after July 1st of 2024 to someone of the same gender (for room sharing purposes).

The total price includes part in double room with separate beds, breakfast & lunch, transportation during the event, all excursions, activities and dance classes. It doesn’t include not mentioned meals, drinks, flights or airport transportation. We reserve the rights to make changes in the program.
